The Mercedes-Benz Amphitheater sits beautifully on 15 acres amidst the banks of the Black Warrior River. Located only minutes away from The University of Alabama campus and blocks from the lively downtown district, the Amphitheater is the largest outdoor theater in West Alabama and a premier location for arts and entertainment. In addition to its many great concerts, the amphitheater also hosts the annual Celebration on the River, a free July 4th celebration featuring the Tuscaloosa Symphony Orchestra. The venue is also available for rent for private parties and events.

ADA Services

Parking: Limited ADA parking is available in the Box Office parking lot (linked to parking map) A state issued ADA parking credential is required. Accessible shuttles are available from the Intermodal Facility Downtown (link to parking map). 

 

Seating: Accessible seating as well as companion seating is available. Accessible seating can be coordinated through Ticketmaster or by visiting the Mercedes-Benz Amphitheater box office. 

 

Wheelchair and Companion Seating: Wheelchair and companion seating is available. Please note that event day relocations are extremely limited and are not guaranteed but may be available on a first-come first-serve basis. Check with your section seating host for availability of seats.

Animals/Pets

No pets or animals are permitted with the exception of certified service animals. 

ATMs

Credit cards are accepted at most concessions stands in the venue. For your convenience, two ATMs are available and are located near the restroom buildings.

Bag Policy

In the interest of public safety, the City of Tuscaloosa has implemented a clear bag policy for all shows and events held at Mercedes-Benz Amphitheater. This policy limits the size and types of bags allowed into the venue by patrons and staff.

  • Bags that are clear plastic, vinyl or PVC, and do not exceed 12” x 6” x 12”. 
  • One-gallon clear plastic freezer bags.
  • Small clutch (4.5″ x 6.5″ or smaller) with or without a handle or strap.
  • Patrons also will be able to carry other items allowed into the venue such a phones, but their cases/bags will not be allowed (items within the clear bag must be loose).
  • Amphitheater management may allow certain bags that do not conform to the clear bag standards to be searched and tagged for admittance if the bag contains items that are required for medical or health purposes.
  • Prohibited bags are all bags other than those mentioned above. This includes: backpacks, binocular cases, camera cases, fanny packs, printed bags, tinted plastic bags, mesh bags and purses.
Box Office

The Box Office is located at the main entrance of the facility at 2710 Jack Warner Parkway, Tuscaloosa, AL 35401. The Box Office will be open from 10:00 am until 5:00 pm Monday-Friday, and on all event days as appropriate. For more information, please call (205) 248-5280.

Cameras

Cameras are allowed on an event-to-event basis subject to the approval of the artist/performer. If cameras are allowed, guests may bring in a non-professional (point-and-shoot) style camera with no removable lenses.

Drop-Off & Pick-Up Area

A drop-off / pick-up area is located near the main gate entrance on Jack Warner Parkway. Buses and Limos must use the circular driveway past the main gate. Patrons needing additional assistance from the drop off area can contact the Administrative Office in advance at (205) 248-5280 for assistance.

First Aid/Medical

Tuscaloosa Fire and Rescue Services provides emergency services for events at Mercedes-Benz Amphitheater. For assistance, please contact the nearest event staff personnel.

Food & Beverages

Food and Beverage are available throughout the venue. Credit Cards are accepted at most concession locations. No outside food and drink will be allowed into the facility. All drinks except unopened water or soda bottles have to be discarded on exit from the building.

A drop-off / pick-up area is located near the Box Office on Jack Warner Parkway.

Inclement Weather

Events at Mercedes-Benz Amphitheater are held rain or shine. In the event of inclement weather, events may be postponed. Weather updates will be posted on the venue’s social media channels – @mercedesbenzamp. The Amphitheater is not a lightning or tornado safe facility.

There is a variety of hotels available in downtown Tuscaloosa, many within walking distance of Mercedes-Benz Amphitheater. The preferred hotel for the venue is the Hotel Indigo.

Lost Tickets

The Mercedes-Benz Amphitheater is not responsible for lost or stolen tickets. Please contact the original point of purchase for details.

Media

Motorcycles

There is no designated parking for motorcycles outside of the standard parking vehicle parking spaces. Any vehicles, including motorcycles, parked illegally may be subject to towing.

Parking

There is limited on-site parking available at Mercedes-Benz Amphitheater. Guests are encouraged to utilize the free parking deck downtown. The City Club parking lot and the box office parking lot are reserved and require credentials or custom tickets. 

 

Oversized vehicles, RVs, mobile homes and trailers are prohibited to park at the amphitheater. Overnight parking is prohibited. Any vehicles illegally parked, may be subject to towing. Parking passes are required for access to the City Club and Select Seat parking lots.

Private Vending

Private vending (including selling of tickets) is prohibited within the Amphitheater parking lot and grounds.

  • Personal property that is a potential hazard to others and any other items deemed inappropriate or dangerous by the City of Tuscaloosa are prohibited at Mercedes-Benz Amphitheater.

 

These items will have to be returned to your car or discarded at the entry gates.

Re-Entry Policy

Re-entry is generally prohibited. Guests who need to leave and re-enter should contact a guest services representative for assistance, and exceptions may be made on a case-by-case basis.

Safety & Security

For safety of all guests, all guests will undergo a security screening, including bag checks and magnetometers, before entry. All bags must adhere to the Clear Bag regulations. No weapons of any kind allowed in the facility. Intoxicated guests may not be admitted into the venue.

Smoking/Tobacco Use

Smoking, vaping or chewing tobacco are prohibited in the venue with the exception of the designated areas at the top of sections 201 and 205. Violation of this policy may result in expulsion.

Strollers

Strollers are generally not permitted inside of the Amphitheater. Stroller storage may be available for certain events. Strollers may not be taken to seats or stored in aisles. The City of Tuscaloosa will not monitor stored strollers and is not responsible for lost or stolen strollers.

The City Club

Tickets

Tickets may be purchased at Ticketmaster.com and the Mercedes-Benz Amphitheater box office. Tickets are required for Amphitheater events unless otherwise noted. 

 

Event tickets purchased from a source other than the Amphitheater Box Office or Ticketmaster may not be honored for admission. The City of Tuscaloosa is not responsible for counterfeit tickets.

Umbrellas

Umbrellas are strictly prohibited at Mercedes-Benz Amphitheater. All events are rain or shine. Guests are encouraged to bring parkas or rain jackets in the event of rain.

Will Call

Tickets may be picked up from will call during normal box office hours or on the day of the show. Photo ID must be shown when picking up tickets up from will call. ID must match name on the tickets.

Vending

Private vending (including selling of tickets) is prohibited within the Amphitheater parking lot and grounds.
